The Deadpool Writer Just Said 'It's Over for Us' After Seeing This AI Video Tool

ByteDance dropped Seedance 2.0 and within days someone made a video of Tom Cruise fighting Brad Pitt that looked disturbingly real. Hollywood is not handling it well.

The Deadpool Writer Just Said 'It's Over for Us' After Seeing This AI Video Tool

ByteDance, the company behind TikTok, just released an AI video generator called Seedance 2.0, and it immediately broke the internet. Someone typed a two-line prompt and got a video of Tom Cruise fighting Brad Pitt that looked like it came out of an actual movie.

Rhett Reese, the screenwriter behind Deadpool, saw it and posted: "I hate to say it... it's likely over for us."

That's not some random person on the internet. That's a guy who writes hundred-million-dollar movies saying his job might be done.

Hollywood is already fighting back. Disney is reportedly threatening legal action over copyright concerns, and the whole industry is scrambling to figure out what this means. ByteDance has promised to add safeguards, but the genie is out of the bottle.

Here's what matters: this isn't some janky AI video with six fingers and melting faces. This is two lines of text turning into something that looks like a real movie scene. And it's free.

As reported by TechCrunch and The Guardian.
